History: Research and Service Production
Our Berlin-based team of historians and film professionals offers research and production services for your projects.
We specialize in historical research and film production services.
– are a filmmaker or production company in need of local production services in Germany or Central Europe
– are looking for interview partners on a historical topic but don’t speak their language
– need witnesses of a historical event
– need historical footage but can’t go to the archive
– are a company or foundation who would like to tell their story in a historical film,
we’ll be happy to help. Our services range from researching historical content, establishing contact with potential interview partners (we speak English, German, French, Russian, Spanish and Romanian), booking historical shooting locations, providing camera and sound equipment and crew, translating on set, to filming interviews entirely according to your style guide, including clean-edit, transcription, translation and subtitling.
Finding the sources of the story
The detective work of finding contemporary witnesses of Marlene Dietrich’s early years or that specific radio piece from 1929 is a fascinating challenge, which we pursue with passion and ambition. And when we get to meet these most diverse characters and hear their accounts of bygone times first-hand, it feels as rewarding as a successful treasure hunt.
We have worked on National Socialism and World War II, on Jewish history, Cold War history, the 1936 Olympics, and many more topics – conducting interviews in people’s living rooms as well as at the Olympic stadium, and obtaining documents and historical footage from public archives and private collections.
